IŽd be there now, if I could....

rainbowbread at cap'n jacks - downtown disneyCheck out the peanut butter and jelly sandwich at Cap'n Jacks - it is served on rainbow swirled bread - psychedelic - no less.

Pralines and beignets at the Port Orleans Hotel.

The Wilderness Lodge has hidden Mickey's all over the hotel and the grounds. The Mickey's are  "hidden" in plain view throughout the common areas of the grounds and lobby and restaurants. Ask the Guest Services Desk for a handout with clues. We spent a particularly cold January evening looking for them. Be sure to try the coffee bar in the lobby - fantastic!

toddler's get worn out - but they bounce right back!Prepare your toddler by watching live action videos like the Disney Singalong  Disneyland Fun.  Talk with them about what they'll see and compare it to something they've already done.  Seems to help, although your mileage may vary.

Ride in the cockpit of the monorail! All you have to do is ask and generally you can. The engineers can tell you a lot about the workings of the system and you get to see where you're going. We even received a co-pilot's license!

If you're flying in make the most of your time by planning to arrive in the morning on the earliest flight and plan on leaving in the evening of your last day - you'll net almost an extra day!

If you can't take crowds, long lines, or hot humid weather - try going in January or February or November - December (avoiding the Thanksgiving and Christmas week). The weather is pleasant and the lines are generally short. One caveat, some attractions or resort pools may be closed for renovation.

Clothing and other character items change from year to year. If you find an item you LOVE, get it, because they won't have the same things next year. They change styles frequently.

Your Disney resort snack bar/counter service restaurant has a logo mug for sale. Refills are free throughout your stay. Fill it everytime you stop in at the hotel. This usually includes soft drinks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and sometimes even frozen slushes. It varies depending on the resort.

Tour some of the other hotels - the themes are detailed down to the cast members costumes. Either hop on the monorail or take a bus from the parks.

If you have kids or not - eat dinner at the Wilderness Lodge. Bar BQ. The kids will have a ball participating in the shootout and stampede complete with stick horses and a gallop through the restaurant. But don't ask for ketchup.

dixie landings bed spread hidden mickeyDixie Landings has hidden mickeys on the bedspreads.  Look for the curling vine in the distinctive pattern.

Stay at a Disney owned resort property. Disney hotels are attractions too. They all have a theme and you'll often find characters in the lobby area or restaurant.

The Wilderness Lodge has a pool that starts in the lobby as a hot spring and runs down a rocky waterfall over giant boulders into the pool - a great picture opportunity.

The Wilderness Lodge has a geyser - and like old Faithful - it goes off frequently. There's also a hidden Mickey here.

The Pool at the Yacht Club. It's bottom is covered in sand and includes a shipwreck and a whirlpool

Disney Hotels are closest to the parks and provide buses, boats and/or monorail transportation to the parks, all day, included in your package.

Strollers, personalize yours, even if you bring yours from home, with a scarf, bandana, or some other personal item, it will keep others from mistaking it as there own, strollers can all look alike.

For Dinner - Be sure to make reservations, especially at the Epcot World Showcase restaurants. You can even make them a couple of months in advance!
